Crowning Our Achievers

The event was held on 15^th November 2015 in Masjid Darul Makmur, Auditorium & Level 2 Foyer.We had approximately 70 parents who attended and graced our event. Door gifts was given away at registration for all attendees.

 Every segment of this event carried an objective of its own.The event was started off by Qira’at Recitation by our very own student from Secondary 2 Girls class. This was followed by an analytical speech through our Debate Competition.

The debate topic was: In today’s society, people are giving more importance to worldly matters than religious matters.The competition had 8 participants who were trained by ustazas on the given topic.

The objective of this segment was to give our students’ a platform to research Al-Quran and hadith on the given topic. It also served as a confidence booster to our students’ as they got the opportunity to speak in public.

Next up, we had an interactive games session in which parents’ took part. The objective of this segment was to get the parents involved and to make it an interactive event.After this, trophies was presented to our students who had memorized Surah Yaasin as well as prizes were given out to students who had shown outstanding performances in their class during year 2015.

Our event was honoured by our respectable Hazrath with his eye opening speech.

Refreshments was prepared at Level 2 open space.

Hadith competition was held after break. We had 9 participants from P4G-Sec2G classes.

These participants were given a list of short hadiths to choose from. They had to choose 1 hadith, memorise the Arabic hadith, meaning and also explain it in their own words.

The objective of this competition was to make our students memorise hadiths and to apply it to their life as well.

During event, a short video done by our P4G and P6G students was displayed. The video carried a message on some important reminders such as caring about our neighbours.

The highlight of our event was Visual Quran Exhibition which was displayed in Level 2 Foyer.The exhibition was based on Surah At-Takathur. In Surah At-Takathur, Allah swt mainly says about how our worldly competition to increase distracts us away from Allah’s path and also away from our preparation for Aakhirath.

The objective of this exhibition was for everybody who attended our event to go back home with a message from Al-Quran. It also served as a good reminder for all. We aimed to create awareness on how we subconsciously think of temporary things in our life as permanent. This exhibition was opened not only to the parents who attended our event but also to all our Madrasah’s teachers and students for viewing.

Alhamthulillah! The event was a successful one with more to come, Insha’Allah!

IMSSA JUNIORS' FIESTA

Alhamdulillah our IMSSA juniors Yishun (P1 to P3) Fiesta had a huge turnout of around 115 guests this year!

 Junior's Fiesta is an annual graduation ceremony held after final examinations to appreciate students' efforts in various areas such as Quran achievement, memorization and also academic performances. Our aim is to display our students' achievements to their parents and also further motivate them to keep achieving greater heights by holding a prize giving ceremony. With our Ustazahs' wonderful efforts, both the students and parents enjoyed themselves in both the programs and mini carnival session! 

Delicious western food was served to all guests. It consisted of items such as mushroom soup, mini burgers, cheesecake and onion rings which were great tummy filler to parents!The event was fun filled with many exciting performances and even lucky draw sessions. We had an Arabian theme for which our students came in various Arabian themed costumes! Best dressed students received prizes as well! 

At the end of the day there was a parent meet session with the respective class Ustazahs so that parents and Ustazahs can have a discussion on their kid's performance in class and how they can help further with improving their abilities.

 The day turned out to be very fruitful. Parents were really satisfied with the event and expected more of such events! We really thank everyone who had made this event a great success! Thank you to all parents for your support! In Sha Allah we hope to see you in more events in the near future!! Jazakallah!

SG50 CARNIVAL

On National Day, the upper primary level had organised a SG50 funfair for the students at the mosque concourse. Many activities were lined up for the students such as T-shirt designing, henna drawing and games booth. There were also many tidbits up for grabs such as candy floss and one of our local delights 'kacang putih'. Both ustazahs and students were able to enjoy themselves at the funfair. This National Day definitely proved to be a memorable one to everyone!

NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

This year our little hearts celebrated our nation's 50th birthday joyously. Many activities were lined up for them within their individual levels. The students commemorated this big day by singing the 'Majulah Singapura' and saying the National pledge together. The day was completed with a cake cutting session. This activity proved to create better bonding between the students and also appreciate unity in Singapore.

SALAAM SINGAPORE RAMADAN KAREEM

Assalamu Alaikum Wrb. Last Sunday the upper primary level held a bonding session with the parents as part of welcoming Ramadan as well as show appreciation for SG50. Alhamdulillah there was a great response for the event as the parents enjoyed the various activities and sessions lined up for them.

The secondary 2 Girls had a class outing this June holidays. The students had a good bonding session with their friends and Ustazahs over a fun bowling session and hearty lunch. These are one of the many activities lined up for our kids this June holidays!

HEALTH TALK FOR KIDS

This Sunday there was a health talk held for the lower primary level kids. An interactive talk was done for the kids to expose them to practicing hygiene around their friends and family. They were also educated regarding the importance of keeping the environment clean which in turn affects their health. The talk was also concluded with the emphasis of hygiene in Islam. There were also games held which were facilitated by our secondary 2 girls helpers. These games allowed the kids to further enforce what they had learnt in an interactive manner.

MOTHER'S DAY ACTIVITY

Our lower primary level were involved in making chocolate flowers specially for their Moms this Mother's Day! It was also a post exam activity for our kids. The kids were extremely enthusiastic to do their part to show their appreciation for their Moms. This also served as a lesson preview on respecting our parents.

MONTHLY PARENTS' CLASS

Alhamdulillah our monthly parents' class has successfully begun. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who have thus far supported us in any ways. We would also like to urge all parents who are not students of the madrasah to join this class which is held on the last Sunday of every month. In sha allah we hope to benefit everyone through such programmes and also appreciate the goodness of jamaat gathering.

SEC 1 & 2 QIRAT READING SESSIONS

Our senior girls further develop their talents by focusing on qirat reading sessions held during Sunday classes. During these sessions the students carry out jamaat qirat reading. This has definitely benefited the students as they are able to greatly improve their quran reading and also enjoy the benefits of jamaat reading.

PRIMARY 1&3 ORIENTATION

Alhamdulillah our Primary 1 Level Orientation was held on 15 February 2015. This was followed by the Primary 3 orientation held on 8 March 2015. The aim of the event was to introduce the new Ustazahs the children will be interacting with due to their transition from their previous levels. It also aimed in creating a good rapport between parents and Ustazahs from the beginning of the year. We thank all parents for your support in this event and making it a great success. CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES (PRIMARY 2 BOYS)

Our primary 2 boys had a fun Sunday learning about Solat. The worked in groups to come out with the correct order of prayer steps. Two representatives from each group elaborated on the steps and Surahs and Duas that are supposed to be read at the respective steps. This activity created further bond between the kids and also aided in bringing through the lesson in a more interactive manner.

Alhamdulillah! We are pleased to inform the commencement of the Parents' Support Group monthly classes starting from the year 2015. In Sha Allah classes will be held on the last Sunday of the month. REGISTRATION EXERCISE 2015

Existing students

The registration for existing students for year 2015 will be from 12 October till 16 November 2014. Registration fee during this period for existing students is $100 per student. Please notify the Ustazah in writing if you require an extension of the deadline or need financial assistance to cover the Madrasah fees. Request will be approved on a case by case basis.

*Existing students who register in January 2015 without valid reasons need to pay $130.

New students & Re-Activation (For former students who have been absent for a very long period)

Registration for new students/re-activation of former students will only be conducted during the following period: 4 January 2015 - 25 January 2015. The fee for these students will be $130. (Students are to bring along a copy of their birth certificate or NRIC for registration along with parents' NRIC copies.) Re-activation of inactive students is only based on the approval of the respective level in-charge.

Last day of 2014!

Leaving behind very strong memories to step into a New Year, our kids and Ustazahs decided to end their last day at Madrasah for the year on a high note! Students enjoyed themselves while doing various activities with their Ustazahs. Our students and Ustazahs also had a great treat during the break kindly sponsored by one of our dear Ustazah! Alhamdulillah this year has been a fruitful one and here are some photos of our last day at Madrasah for the year!
